Honoring Mr. Patrick Flahive for 40 years of strive

Join us in celebrating the extraordinary career of Mr. Patrick Flahive for his 40 years of dedicated service to Catholic education, inspiring young choristers. Mr. Flahive began his career as Music Director at St. Denis Church in Diamond Bar in 1983, where he directed his first children’s choir. In 1985, he joined Sacred Heart School in Covina as the music teacher, where he formed yet another children’s choir. Today, Mr. Flahive continues his legacy of musical excellence as the music teacher at St. Andrew School and as the founder and director of Pueri Cantores San Gabriel Valley.

Mr. Flahive has led 10 international choral tours to places such as Mallorca, Barcelona, Rome, and Assisi, and his choirs have had the honor of performing alongside the LA Opera, Tallis Scholars, and even for the Pope. In 2023, the St. Andrew School Choir and Pueri Cantores SGV became the first American children’s choirs to sing Vespers at the Vatican on Christmas Eve—an unforgettable achievement.
